The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it can be alarmed with regards to the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the more info Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The service point produced for intervention encounters a substantial influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to empower the servicing of all buyers and raise entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
